1987ish
Anyone else have a story that your parents embarrass you with? A story that you don’t actually remember?? Well the first camera I remember holding was a Polaroid. Film was expensive back then so carefully choosing what to photograph was a priority. I loved taking photos and even though it was for the family, it could easily be found in my hands. That is until it ended up at the bottom of the Scioto River one sunny day…according to my parents.
2010
I bought my first camera. A small Fuji. I stepped into the dslr world and haven’t looked back. My joy of photography was rekindled, especially candid moments. Simply put, still photography made my heart beat. I wondered, could I be a professional photographer? Would I photograph a wedding?
2017
In May 2017, I got married. “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favour of the LORD.” Less than 18 months of dating and we tied the knot in an intimate ceremony of family and friends. A few weeks later I shared with my WIFE that I was seriously considering Professional Photography.
Two days later, after a long day at work, I sat next to her in the bed, she turned her computer towards me, “What do you think of this website?” My wife created a beautiful website, I looked at it, I looked back at her and replied, “I guess I need to really start practicing.”
Today
I am fully enjoying the concept of Boutique Photography. What is Boutique Photography? Have you ever had preferential treatment? We share ideas to design this photography session together. My desire is to do more than “take pics” of you, Boutique Photography is about capturing a moment that inspires your life’s story to be shared again and again.
